The Canine Coach offers a variety of board and train programs for the dog owner that does not have the time to do all the training themselves. This type of training is beneficial because you hand over an untrained dog and at the end of the program you receive a fully trained dog. When the dog has completed the training, you, the owner will go through some training as well with private lessons. The key to this type of training is once the dog goes home the training must continue on a daily basis or the dog will start its old habits again. So it is your responsibility as a newly trained dog owner to keep up with his/her education.
Training is motivational and fun for both the dog and the coach. Shock collars are never used or anything of the sort. Training occurs three times a day as well as play and exercise. Dogs must be at least four months to join a program.

Private Lessons:
The Canine Coach offers private lessons for dog owners that want to train their own dog, but do not want to do it in a group setting. Private lessons also work well for dog owners with aggressive dogs, and for dog owners with hectic schedules that need to fit training into a tight schedule. Private lessons are recommended because you are able to work one on one with the trainer and your dog. However, they are a little more expensive than a group obedience class, but it is worth it in the long run. The cost depends on how many lessons you would like. If you choose six, you and your dog will learn everything that is learned in the obedience class as well as discussing behavioral problems. To view choices of what can be learned in six weeks or less (some people choose two lessons a week) click on the title obedience classes and scroll to the bottom.
