Web Site Design Procedures
|
| |
- First, get in touch with us, either by email or phone. Go to the Contact Us page for this information. Tell us about your company's goals and any other information you think pertinent.
- We will return your call or email, and if it is practical, we can arrange an in-person meeting, or we can discuss your plans on the phone or by email.
- We will put together a text-based "proposal" summarizing the contents of each page and may also include a mock-up of a proposed graphical design. We will include an estimate of the cost with this and mail or email this to you for your approval.
- Once the decision has been made to go ahead, we will draw up a contract specific to your particular web site. We will negotiate until both parties are satisfied.
- At this point, a partial payment must be made prior to any work, with the remainder due when the site is completed.
- You will provide us (by mail or email) specific photographs you may wish to include in the design, as well as any text content you specifically desire.
- We will then work on a graphic design and a "theme" for your web site as a whole. We will put these files in a subdirectory of our web site so you can view and approve the progress as it is accomplished.
- When the design is approved, we will start coding. We will provide you with a temporary link or URL and periodically upload finished files to our web site so that you may view them.
- You can, at any time, submit your domain name for registration to any registering agency of your choice, or we can provide this service for you.
- Before the site is finished, with your approval, we may set up the hosting account and move the home page to the host in order to submit the site to search engines and allow sufficient time for the site to become registered on the search engines.
- When the site is finished we will notify you for your final approval.
- We will then move the entire site to the host and we can discuss other marketing strategies.
